1st Edition: DC Science Magazine

Virtual Jazz 

During lockdown, musicians from the Fourth Form to the Upper Sixth have been learning an exciting arrangement of ‘Spain’ by the great US pianist and composer Chick Corea. Click on the image below to listen and watch! 



Healthcare Science Week  

Gloucester Royal NHS Foundation Trust is celebrating Healthcare Science Week at on March 8th – 12th and would like to give pupils the opportunity to participate in a competition.  Winners will have a chance to meet their scientists and host a live Q&A session on Facebook during Healthcare Science Week. They will be taken to specialist areas once lockdown ends and receive a healthcare science goody bag to take home. 

Task: Research a healthcare science career and design a job advert for their chosen roles. 

Entries are open for everyone. The competition will close on the 25th of February and the winners will be announced on the 1st of March 2021. Please send your entries to zsuckle@deanclose.org.uk. 


Jaguar Land Rover Virtual Work Experience  

8th to 19th March 

Jaguar Land Rover is committed to raising awareness of the variety of career opportunities for females within the automotive sector.  As part of this commitment, they are offering a 2week virtual work experience programme for young females and non-binary students in years 10 – 13.
