EXEAT Weekends

Please note that due to the brevity of this Lent term, the Senior School does not have any EXEAT weekends. We DO NOT share The Preparatory School Exeat weekends from 26 to 28 January and 9 to 11 March.

Confirmation Classes

As you may be aware, we offer an annual opportunity for Senior School Decanians to attend confirmation classes and – having attended the classes, if they should wish – to proclaim their Christian faith publically at the Trinity term confirmation service.

As always it is important to point out, that although it can be a kind of rite of passage, it must be much more than that. The classes present a wonderful opportunity for the young people to spend some unhurried time investigating the claims, commands and invitations of Jesus in Scripture, and therefore a chance to see whether confirmation is for them.

As such it is never assumed that every attendee of the classes will, by default, follow through with the confirmation promises. Please could any parents who wish their child or children to attend the classes, email Rev’d Ash on jcash@deanclose.org.uk before Wednesday 31 January. The classes will be held on five weekday lunchtimes through the second half of this term. Once we have a clearer idea of interest, we will be in a position to confirm the time and date of the service itself.
