Highlights of the Week:

  • The Sherratt Competition on Wednesday evening saw our Grade 8 and Diploma musicians battling it out for the prize in a stunning musical extravaganza.
  • The Wilson Challenge took place on Tuesday evening which saw a strong cohort presenting on this year’s topic of ‘Myth turned into Art’.
  • The Lower 6th visited the UCAS Exhibition in Worcester to kick start the process for their post A level planning.
  • The U18 Girls’ Hockey team finished 5th at the National finals on Tuesday having played some superb hockey with Danielle Gibson awarded prize for top joint goal scorer at the tournament.
  • The U18 Boys Hockey team beat RGS Guildford to reach the last 4 and a place at the National Finals alongside the U16 boys after Easter.
  • The U14, U16 & U18 Rugby Sevens sides have been battling it out in London this week, and represented the school very well.

Please join the whole Dean Close Community for YOGA IN THE PARK on Friday 11 May at 7.30am. The event is in honour of a cause close to our hearts – raising funds for children’s brain tumour charity, Blue Skye Thinking. Together, we can support a life-saving research project. Geography Trip: Iceland, October 2018

We are delighted to announce that we will be running our biennial trip to Iceland in October half term. This represents an amazing opportunity to visit a fascinating country. Easter Revision Course

Dean Close School are running an Easter Revision Course from 4th to 8th of April this year and places are available for residential and non-residential. The courses take place over five days, delivering a combination of intensive subject revision sessions. One subject is selected for A Level and two subjects for GCSE.
