• It was great to see so many parents and friends attending the Commemoration celebrations.
  • Lots of people have been to visit the Dean Close stand at the Cheltenham Science Festival AND been brave enough to do the Bush Tucker Trial. Do pop in if you haven’t done so already!
  • The 4th, Remove and Lower 6th have all been engaged with their end of year exams.
  • The Science Faculty have once again hosted local primary schools this week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.


Dean Close Show Jumping Event

Rectory Farm, Sunday 9 June

We warmly invite you and your families to the Dean Close Annual Show Jumping Event for 2019, at Rectory Farm, Duntisbourne Abbots. We have over 34 different schools attending and a record 218 riders coming to compete on the day with ages ranging from 6- 18yrs.

If you fancy a day in the countryside then please do pop along and see what it is all about. There is onsite catering and hopefully the weather will be kind.

See the attached programme of events for the day. Classes range from the Elite 1.10m to our Grass Roots 40cms. We have riders from across the Foundation competing on the day. We hope to see you there!

3 Schools Dance Show (DCS, DCPS, DCPPS)

Bacon Theatre, Friday 14 June, 6.00pm

All parents, families and friends are welcome to come along to the Bacon Theatre on Friday 14 June at 6.00pm to see pupils from all 3 Cheltenham Schools performing on stage in this annual event.

Careers Fair

Wednesday 26 June, 2.30-4.00pm

We are holding a Careers Afternoon in the Dining Room for the Lower Sixth inviting different companies in to school to chat to our pupils on a one to one basis about training, opportunities etc. Each pupil has to speak to three different companies, ideally one being a Recruitment company to give our pupils a flavour of what employers are looking for in the work place. The Chaplaincy, in conjunction with other youth groups in Cheltenham, are organising a trip to Reboot LONDON 2019. This is an interactive day for 12-18 year olds to ask their big questions about God, Christianity, faith, life and more on Saturday 21 September. For more information please see the attached letter from the Chaplain.

Ultimate Activity Camps

Ultimate Activity Camps will be back this Summer, using our fantastic facilities for their fun filled and active camps. The dates this year are Monday 22 July – Friday 23 August.

Children will be inspired to try new activities, make new friends and ultimately have lots of fun in a safe environment.
