The pasttwo weeks at school have been extremely busy for everyone, especially all the Year 8 pupils who have had their mock exams. Every Year 8 pupil worked as hard as they could over the half term break and it paid off!

Whilst we had our heads down the rest of the school enjoyed World Book Day. This was a good time for pupils to concentrate on reading and enjoying some great books. We were so lucky, two years ago, when Michael Morpurgo came to School for Speech Day. I’m certain most pupils at Dean Close have now read many of his books and his visit certainly inspired me to read more. I hope World Book Day has encouraged everyone to pick up a book more often – I’m sure Mr Shelley will be pleased!

I hope everyone has a great few weeks up to the Easter Holidays.
