Every week, Mrs Shelley poses a ‘Challenge of the Week’ for pupils to take part in; winners are then chosen, congratulated in assembly and their challenges are displayed. The challenges can be about a whole range of exciting activities including reading, Science, Maths, topics or even special days. The most recent Challenge of the Weekwas very exciting as there were prizes linked to the Literature Festival.

This year Pre-Prep sponsored two events at the Festival – Nadiya Hussain’s ‘Bake me a Story’ and ‘Hugless Douglas’ and the winnersreceived tickets for these events! The challenges set were to create and decorate a cupcake to link with a story (Year 1 and Year 2) and to colour in a picture of Hugless Douglas (Nursery, Kindergarten and Reception). There were some fantastic entries – and it was very difficult indeed for Mrs Wells to judge them – well doneto everyone
for entering and especially to our winners!
