After taking part in the GCHQ poppy art competition to mark 100 years since the start of World War 1, Lorcan Knox was one of the 6 chosen winners from 501 entries. As a prize, Lorcan was invited for a tour of GCHQ and their museum. Lorcan said about his day:

“What an experience! As one of the six winners of the poppy art competition I was invited to visit GCHQ on Tuesday and have a tour around. Inside ‘the doughnut’ you can actually fit the Royal Albert Hall, it’s so big!The Royal British Legion were very nice to us, and we were given a tasty lunch. And to finish the tour off we were allowed to use a robotic arm and have a play with a 1937 original Enigma machine, to break some codes! It was an amazing once in a lifetime experience.”
