Chapel Service information on Friday 23rd November

All parents and guardians are warmly invited to join us for our whole school Chapel service at 1200 on Friday 23rd November, followed at 2.30pm by what promises to be a fun and worthwhile Charity Fair.

Charity Fair information, Friday 23rd November

This year’s Charity Fair is raising funds for Family Space, a locally-based charity that offers a  ‘Helping Hand with the  ups and downs of family life by being good news in the community.’  It provides a befriending service, support groups for mums, parenting classes, a safe space for separated parents to meet with their children and ‘stay and play’ sessions for young families. This is our chosen charity at DCPS for the year and we are very excited to be supporting them in their work in Cheltenham. A representative from Family Space will be joining us for the Fair.

Pupils may wear mufti on the day, for which they will have to pay £1 and they can bring up to £5 to spend during the afternoon.

We are looking for special items to be able to auction, perhaps pledges that would encourage visiting parents to give extra generously. Please contact Mrs Hunt (alhunt@deanclose.org.uk) if you have something suitable to donate by Wednesday 21st November.

Year 5 Charity Fair- cuddly toy appeal

Year 5 have a cuddly toy stall at the Charity Fair and would like donations of any unwanted cuddly toys. Donations to be taken to Rickerby 6 classroom by Thursday 22nd November.

Exeat Pick up, Friday 23rd November

Friday 23rd November is an Exeat for the whole community. Pupils may leave for Exeat straight after the Charity Fair which should be from 3.45pm.

All pupils can be signed out from houses from 3.45pm. On Exeat weekends we ask that all pupils be picked up by 5.00pm.

Parking on Exeats can be very hard, therefore to help with parking we would also like to suggest the following options:

  1. There is parking available on the tennis courts by the Bacon Theatre and by the astro turf pitches.
  2. Sports Hall
  3. Shelburne Road and Hatherley Court Road (please be considerate to residents by not blocking driveways).

Shelburne Christmas Fair, Thursday 29th November

Please click here to access a letter about Shelburne House Charity Fair. Stallholder tables are available for £20.00 with all the proceeds going to charity. If you would like to reserve a table please contact Julie Kent, Housemistress of Shelburne House at jlkent@deanclose.org.uk

Reminder about drop off times at the start of the school day

No children should be dropped off at school before 7.45am, unless arrangements have been made with the school for them to have breakfast in the dining room.
