Early Morning Swim Training (all day parents)

Please note that there is no early morning swim training in the final week of term.

Music Department Information Reminder (all parents)

Please be aware that the dead line for requests to start instrumental tuition/singing lessons next term, is Friday 13th December.

Should you wish your son/daughter to stop their instrumental tuition/singing lessons, we do require a terms’ notice and this will be due by the end of the first week of next term (Fri 10th January) to stop at the end of the Lent term.

Cyberfirst Event, Saturday 25th January (Year 8 parents)

A local opportunity has become available for Year 8 pupils interested in Computer Science. Please click here to find out more. The Cheltenham event takes place on Saturday 25th January (EXEAT Weekend)

These are free courses from the NCSC/Cyberfirst.

Dean Close Choral Society (all parents)

Parents, Staff, ODs, Friends, and Neighbours – all are welcome to join the Dean Close Choral Society; an ability to read music at some level is helpful.  Rehearsals are on Tuesdays at 7.00pm for an hour in the music department at the Senior School.  The rehearsal dates for our next concert are:  5th, 12th, 19th and 26th November, 14th, 21st, 28th January, 4th February and an afternoon rehearsal on 9th February.

We will be performing Puccini’s ‘Messa di Gloria’ on Sunday 9th February in the Pittville Pump Room as part of the Senior School’s Spring Concert

Handel’s Messiah at Tewkesbury Abbey (all parents)

Candlelit Nine Lessons and Carols (all parents)

The whole Dean Close Community are warmly invited to the candlelit Nine Lessons and Carols in Dean Close Chapel on Wednesday 11th December at 7.30pm.  This is a lovely festive event and is followed by mulled wine & mince pies in the Dean Close Dining Hall.  Click here for more information.

Dean Close Christmas Hockey Camp (all parents)

This December, we are running a Christmas Hockey Camp here at Dean Close and as always, it is open to all girls and boys. We are offering an EARLY BIRD discount of 10% if you book your son/daughter onto the camp for the full 3 days only. Early bird discount will end on Tuesday 5th November. There is no discount code needed, it is already calculated in the overall price for 3 days.

Dates: Wednesday 18th, Thursday 19th and Friday 20th December

Ages and times:     

7-11 years:  9.00am – 12 noon

12+ years:  1.00pm – 4.00pm

School Shop Information (all parents)

Games Notice (all day parents)

There are no fixtures this week. Please could all day parents ensure that on Wednesday 11th December at the end of the school day ALL games kit and Forest School kit be taken home, including hockey sticks for both boys and girls. PE kit for all years except Years 6 and 7 be taken home. Years 6 and 7 have PE on Thursday 12th December.

Please use this as an opportunity to check if any other children’s kit has made it into your children’s bags.
