Year 5 have been spending Thursday mornings in Forest School this term, where they have been learning about plant life cycles.
Even though it’s the middle of winter there’s stilllots to discover and by looking closely at the natural environment on our doorstep they have seen how tough it can befor a seed to survive.
For the finalweek we have had a celebration and cooked marshmallows and popcorn on an open fire, inviting some special guests to join us.
Mr Jones, Mrs Beevers and Miss Hatley (returning to visit her old class from last term) whittledtoasting sticks too, whilst our budding myth writers recounted their talesto those sitting around the fire.
It was a wonderful place to hear how ‘The months came to be ordered’ and ‘How volcanoes came to be’and everyone sat captivated by their storytelling.
