It was good to be back holding our NSEA Interschool’s SJ competition. The sun shone, ice creams were out, and the Dean Close Prep riders put in great riding all day. Rectory Farm ran two rings for us for the first time, Grass Roots and National qualifiers. The course set asked a lot of questions for the riders, we had some great results and well ridden rounds.

Congratulations to Joseph Webb who came and rode for school for the first time, doing a great clear in the 40cms, young riders coming through is great to see.

Our 70cms and 80cms team rolled a few unlucky poles to see them out the team placings. However, Marielle Del Valle jumped a fast clear in the 70-75cms to secure individual 4th place,  a fabulous achievement for this exciting young rider.

Gabriel Mattle jumping with the Dean Close Senior riders rode a brilliant clear in the 1-1.05m to help the team secure 2nd place overall and take their qualification to the NSEA National Championships. He then contested the 1.10 which was causing issues for many of the riders, he jumped a skilful round to take individual 5th place and his qualification for the NSEA Plate Championship finals.

A fabulous day, thank you to all the schools and riders who came from far and wide to enjoy the day with us, we will see you in 2022.
