..in a land far, far away there was aFairy Tale Fun Day at Pre-Prep! Kindergarten’s topic for this term is fairy tales and to bring this enchantingsubject to life Pre-Prep was transformed into a magical kingdom of fairies, princesses, princes and kings, as all the children and staff dressed up as their favourite characters.
Throughout the morning cakes were iced in preparation for the lunchtime fairy tale feast, puppets made from stories such as Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella, treasure discovered on an exciting trail in the hall and fairy tales performed about these much-loved children’s stories.
“Fairy tales are an essential part of childhood.” explained Dr Shelley, Headmistress of the Pre-Prep. “They stimulate imagination and help children communicate with one another about the classical stories they know. My love of fairy tales never tires and I always feel privileged to witness so many children discovering these tall tales for the first time.”
The morning continued with a delicious lunchtime feast held in the hall where the children ate and drank and a magical time was had by all!
