We were delighted that after the very successful ‘Charity Fair’ last year, parents were once again keen to run this event as our charity focus in the Trinity Term. Stalls were run by parents and included exciting activities and games, for example, the ‘Hook a Duck’, ‘ Lucky Dip’ and ‘Electric Maze’ in addition to the cake stall, a books and toys sale and a fabulous visit from a police car! The Pre-Prep children contributed by making items for sale, for example, bead bracelets, spider plants, badges and made some of the games to play – for example ‘Find the Pirate Treasure’! It was a wonderful community afternoon and not only underlines our ‘Dean Close’ family but also emphasises one of the values we believe to be very important, that of service and helping others. We were thrilled to be able to raise £650 for the charity ‘Hop, Skip and Jump’ and will look forward to hearing about how this money will help local children.

Thank you so much to all our wonderful parent reps for setting up and manning stalls, providing games and who made this a memorable afternoon, and to all the staff and children who made super items for sale. Thank you too, to our local police officer PC Jackson who came to visit with her car and demonstrated the siren and flashing light!
