Fifth Former Drama Scholar, Guy Amos, was invited to participate in the special service at Southwark Cathedral, in the presence of HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh as part of the 400th Year Commemoration of Shakespeare’s death. Guy was asked to read Sonnet no 146. Afterwards he had the honour of meeting Prince Philip.
As well as already performing major lead roles in the busy theatrical life of the School (he has played Matthew Brady in “Inherit the Wind” and Mr Collins in an adaptation of Pride and Prejudice), he has played Edward VI in “Thomas Tallis” at The Globe Sam Wannamaker Theatre, alongside the world-famous choir, The Sixteen. Guy has also starred at the same theatre as Aeneas in Christopher Marlowe’s “Dido, Queen of Carthage”.
