On Friday 13 September, the academic drama sets form years 10, 11 and 12 were treated to a brilliantly imaginative mask workshop from Vamos Theatre, who work entirely with masks and have achieved big hits with their productions – such as Brave Face – the story of a teenager returning from a tour of duty in Afghanistan and his difficulties reintegrating into society. Our pupils saw the immense and varied possibilities of mask work, from the hilarious to the intensely sad. Director of Drama, Lloyd Allington, said: “We had great fun hiding our personalities behind masks and conveying new ones with the help of some exciting face-masks. This is certainly a company  we will invite back, our pupils hugely enjoyed their workshop and showed new dramatic possibilities.”
