Results of the House Music Competition.

An abundance of extraordinarily talented musicians gathered in Centenary Hall for this year’s popular House Music competition. Overall there were 94incredible performances from the trombone to the trumpet, the Viola to the Cello, every instrument in the orchestra was represented as well as some beautiful singing and exquisite piano playing.

This year’sadjudicator was music examiner, Mr Gordon Busbridge. Mr Busbridgewas astonished by the standard of performances the children gaveand thoroughly enjoyed hearingthemthroughout the day.Everyone did incredibly well, thefull results are published below. A special mention must go to Michael Lei, aged 10 who won the Best Overall Performance with his performance of ‘Chopin, Nocturne No.2 in E Flat Major’ on the Piano and Talia Recine who won the Best Junior Musician Cup with her performances of ‘Toccatina’ on the piano, Witches’ Dance on the clarinet and ‘Perpetuo Mobile’ on the violin.

Preparatory School _(7-13)
