Dean Close is proud to support the Sue Ryder – Leckhampton Court Hospice for the fourth year. We will be hosting their annual bike ride from the sports complex and cricket pavilion, taking place on Sunday 23rd June 2019. Ride for Ryder is charity cycle ride supporting the only hospice in Gloucestershire with inpatient beds.

Previously we’ve had a small team of riders representing Dean Close School so hopefully this year we can encourage a few more to jump on the saddle and help celebrate the Hospice’s 31st annual cycle in aid of Leckhampton Court Hospice.

The Sportive offers a fun event (for those aged 14 years and over) with signed routes around Gloucestershire’s glorious countryside. There’s a choice of three distances – a 130km route (leaves at 8.30am), a 90km route (9am) and a 40km route (9.30am) and if you sign up online you’ll also receive a food voucher for a hot meal at the finish.

All cyclists registering for Ride for Ryder 30 before Midnight 29th April can grab themselves a special discount on the entrance fee. Prices will be held at £7.50 for the 40km ride and £20 for the 90km or 130km rides until Midnight 30th April 2018 with online entry now open at www.sueryder.org/rideforryder30

Those who fundraise and can raise over £140 (through an online page or through sponsorship forms) will be awarded a Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court cycling jersey.
