Congratulations to Zach Brooks who won the Ride for Ryder T-shirt competition. Zach was among a group of pupils who took partin a competitionto design a T-shirt for the annual cycling event ‘Ride for Ryder’, which started at Dean Close School on Sunday 26th June.

Zach was presented with a T-shirt featuring his winning design and his prize, courtesy of Super Dry, at the start of Sunday’s race. Well done, Zach!

This non-competitive cycling event caters for all cycling abilities and ages by having three different routes: a 23km shorter family route, 85km middle route for more experienced cyclists and a 125km longer route for those looking for more of a cycling challenge, such as our ownHouse Mistress, Mrs Gould! All the money raised will go towards the Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice, which cares for local people with conditions like cancer, heart failure and lung disease.

Marie Carter, Business Development Manager at Dean Close said, “Dean Close is proud to support Ride for Ryder, The Sportive. We are pleased to offer our facilities and it is a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to get involved with a charity within the community”.
