This term, we saw the annual return of our famous RocSoc concert. This year, however, the concert was opened with a singer songwriter competition which took place in the Orangery. This was a fantastic opportunity to see students reveal their creative flare and take the lead with their own singer songwriter masterpieces. The winner was Orly Giannini, who charmed the audience with a very humoroussong about new shoes.
The evening continued in the Bacon Theatre auditorium with a wonderfully mixed programme including numbers by Ed Sheeran, Arctic Monkeys, Queen and Tom Petty. As ever, the technical team did a splendid job with lighting and sound, complementing the mood of each number.
It was a fantastic evening with solo artists and bands across all years, covering a wide range of genres, whilst revealing some of the school’s popular voices as well as some new hidden talent.
