A Levels 2026 

Dean Close School is celebrating the achievements of the Class of 2026. A Level results reflect not only academic success, but also the hard work, resilience and determination shown throughout their Sixth Form journey.

  • Almost two-thirds of all grades were awarded at A* to B.

  • More than one-third of all grades were awarded at A* or A.
  • More than 20 pupils achieved three or more A* and A grades.
  • Several pupils achieved A* grades across all three or four of their A Level subjects.
  • Pupils progressed to a wide range of highly competitive university, conservatoire and professional pathways.

Outstanding Success in University Admissions, Apprenticeships and Careers

  • Leading UK universities: Pupils have secured places on highly competitive courses, including Medicine at Oxford and programmes at many of the UK's leading universities.
  • International destinations: Students will take up places at prestigious overseas institutions, including Georgetown University in the United States.
  • Apprenticeships and professional pathways: Several pupils have secured highly sought-after apprenticeship opportunities across a range of sectors.
  • Professional sport and specialist careers: Members of the year group have also secured professional contracts and will pursue careers in elite sport and other specialist fields.
