Mike has experience with coaching and mentoring younger players at both county clubs as well as also coaching for three years at Monmouth Boys. Mike is passionate about cricket and enjoys using his knowledge and expertise to support all standards.

The School is very fortunate to have outstanding cricket facilities. The main square, which is protected all year round, is near professional standard, and includes a dedicated practice-only square to one side. The U14 pitch, on Chapel Close, is one of the most picturesque locations for junior cricket in the county. There is also a third square, next to Fawley boarding house. There are extensive net facilities, both indoor and outdoor, and dedicated cricket coaches for all levels and age groups.

Winter nets start every January in the Sports Hall and are a great way for the cricketers at Dean Close, whatever their level, to make adjustments to their batting and bowling techniques in advance of the season starting in April.

Parents are welcome to come to watch all matches at Dean Close, and sit on our lovely deckchairs around the boundaries, with plenty of cups of tea available!
