Annual Dean Close NSEA Show Jumping Competition

The competition went really well from start to finish with a 188 riders and 35 schools attending the event and it was a delight to see the Dean Close Team come out on top in the 1 – 1.05m round, qualifying for the NSEA Nationals in October. The Dean Close riders conducted themselves brilliantly in every class and it was wonderful to have riders from St John’s on-the-Hill joining the Dean Close jumpers to make up the very first Dean Close Foundation Prep Team.

DCS / DCPS Results:

  • Patrick Clarkson (DCPS) – 4th in the 80cm round.
  • Dean Close Show Jumping Team – Lydia Ward, Mimi Payton and Georgia Day – 1st in the 1-.05m, qualifying for the NSEA Nationals.
  • Georgia Day – 6th in the 1m final individually, qualifying for the Plate Championships.
  • Lydia Ward – 3rd in the 1.10m Horse final, qualifying for Plate Championships.
