On 15 November our Sixth Form Product Designers came together for an interactive webinar with around 60 other schools across the UK.  They heard from the Designer Wane Hemingway on his career start up and current designing projects, as well a number of other creatives who discussed materials, sustainability and work ethic and post university experiences.

The pupils then had to curate a range of products and arrange them in an interpretive manner to highlight the need for observation and alignment.

Head of Product Design, Dom Evans said,
“This was the second year we have been part of the Design in Action webinar; the pupils benefitted greatly from the opportunity to hear from people who work in creative industries and ask them questions as the day unfolded. From Hi-Fashion and Sustainable Materials Engineering to Product Designers, the message was clear; be inquisitive, be present, be dependable, but don’t worry if the first attempt does not work out, be tenacious and you will build your career!”
