Pre-Prep children celebrated the beginning of Spring and Easter-time at their Spring Festivals on Thursday, with the title of ‘Spring Fever’!
The Spring Festival got off to a wonderful start with everyone singing the ‘Spring Fever’ song with great enthusiasm and with Year Two dancing on stage. All the children joined in with the hand jive to make it a really exuberant start to the show! Year Two then performed two contrasting songs – the quieter ‘New Day’ followed by the lively song ‘Life is a Wonderful Thing’ which got everyone’s toes tapping!
Squirrel Kittens followed by Nursery wowed the audience with their renditions of ‘Where are you Spring?’ and ‘Hop, hop, hop little Easter Bunny’. We especially enjoyed their actions and enthusiastic shaking!
Kindergarten sang two songs with wonderful actions – especially their ‘Daffodils’ song where they showed us how the daffodils grow from bulb to flower. Reception followed with two super songs and the audience particularly enjoyed their show-stopping second number, ‘Wake Up’ which ended with them encouraging us to ‘get our bodies moving’!
This linked perfectly with Year One taking to the stage – performing a super dance while singing the lovely song ‘Spring is in the Air’. Their second piece amazed the whole audience when they performed the ‘Spring Fever’ rap, looking very cool!
Finally the whole school ended with the song ‘Celebrate’, reminding us all about the message of Easter, celebrating that Jesus has risen. All the children loved performing to family and friends and impressed everyone with their confidence and enthusiasm!
