Earlier this term pupils performed‘A summer garden party’which was acelebration of dance
–ballet, modern and tap, directed by The Janet Marshall School of Dance.
The performance opened with 45 pupils on the stage reciting a lively summer poem.Each year group then performed different styles of dances as characters froman ‘English Country Garden Party’.
From Kindergarten, Reception and Year one, there were ballet dancing waitresses, waiters, flowers and gardeners and even some delightful teddy bears! Followed by an increase in tempo as the ‘cakes’ and their ‘chefs’ cooked up some fantastic modern, to a packed hall of parents and staff.
There were also some tap dancing bees, in traditional yellow and black costumes and Year Twoclosed the show as English Country Dancers.
