The whole school enjoyed coming together in their bubbles for a fantastic  Super Senses WOW Day.

As well as having a fantastic time full of investigation and science, learning more about our senses, we also raised a wonderful amount to sponsor Guide Dogs!

Thank you so much for your generosity – I am delighted to say that the total amount is £440.92 from the online donations and the money brought in on the day, which is enough to help 3 puppies through their training! Thank you so much for your support.

Year One enjoyed putting their faith in a friend as they were ‘guided’ around a short obstacle course.  They had to think about clear and short instructions to help their friend.  Some children found that using their sense of touch was necessary to pull their friend back on track!

In the morning the children were fascinated to learn what it would be like to be blind.  We discovered what braille was and even had a go at tracing letters and messages on our friends backs.

We will be following the puppies’ journeys towards becoming Guide Dogs, and will be sent ‘pupdates’ through the year so we can learn all about their training!
