This year some special chefs helped the Smith family find the essential ingredients necessary for a perfect Christmas!
Ingredients included decorations, with Reception VW as fairy lights and 1MC as shimmering tinsel, wonderful dancing and singing robins (Reception AM), snowflakes (Nursery), a whole cast of Santas (Year 1LS), a Christmas tree and the real Father Christmas, of course, bringing lots of presents with his elves (played some Year Two pupils).
The chefs also helped everyone to remember that there were more important ingredients from the very first Christmas long ago – Mary, Joseph and the Donkey, stars (Kittens and Year Two), shepherds, sheep and angels (Kindergarten with some help from Year Two angels and shepherds), Wise Men in shades bearing gifts, but that the most important ingredient of all was the baby Jesus.
The play was much enjoyed by everyone taking part and more importantly by all the parents, guests and friends who came to watch. Well done on such a vibrant and wonderful performance by all the pupils, especially the Year Two pupils who impressed everyone by learning their words and singing their solos so well.
