Congratulations to the U16 netball girls who performed brilliantly in the County Tournament to come 2nd out of 19 schools. This means they qualify for the West of England Championships early next year.

In the group stages, the girls won all their games, going on to meet Chosen Hill in the quarters. Winning that match 11-4 took them into the semi finals against Stroud High School, a difficult game which ended 7-7 all at full time. This led to extra time, with 2 mins each way, and the girls pushed on to win with a final overall score of 9-8. Exhausted, the team went straight into the finals vs Wycliffe which they lost 6-13. However, as runners up, the U16s will go on to compete on Saturday 30 January in Truro, Cornwall.

The squad consisted of:

Izzy Montgomery (Captain), Jo Ovenstone (vice-captain), Jess Thomas, Megan Brown, Saxon Foster, Danielle Gibson, Ava de Costa Freeman, Lydia Ward, Sophie Clink, Phoebe Preece.
