These last few weeks have been full of fun and educational activities. The School welcomed Amy, an NCSC Technical Specialist, to explain the importance and use of technology, in our latest talks@DCPS. Everyone enjoyed the talk, especially when the audience became the internet, transferring messages and information around the world-wide web!

More recently the Scholars had there U13 Academic Scholarship exams, which are now over. To celebrate, the Scholars enjoyed a fascinating trip to Blenheim Palace and Oxford University. In addition, the Maths Scholars went to Pre-Prep to help them with their annual Maths Challenge, set up by Mr. Ede. Two Year 8 pupils competed at the UK Maths Challenge and came 6th in the county!

There have also been a variety of sports matches with the U13 boys and U13 girls winning the Severnside Tennis Tournament and Cricket wins for the 2nd , 3rd,4th and 5th cricket teams, including the largest six the Prep School has ever seen, by Lewis Limbrick.

Finally, 150 pupils have successfully competed at the Cheltenham Festival of Performing Arts. Dean Close Prep School pupils returned with 55 medals, 11 cups and 22 Outstanding Performance Awards. Well done to everyone who took part.
