Year Two had a magical experience at the Wilson Museum in Cheltenham where they dressed up in Victorian clothes, learnt all about Victorian Cheltenham and explored a variety of Victorian artefacts.

A firm favourite amongst the memorabilia were the traditional Victorian toys, from hoops and sticks to spinning tops, they learnt how children entertained themselves over 100 years ago. Pupils also engaged in some physically demanding laundry duty, a very different experience to loading the washing machine!

Victorians were great inventors and the children discovered that sewing machines, the electric kettle and even the flushing toilet were all thanks to the ingenuity of some great minds from that era.  Everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable learning adventure and came back full of exciting facts and information!
