Year 6ventured out of the classroom toone of Great Britain’s most beautiful National Parks, the Brecon Beacons, for apractical lesson on rivers.
Pupils have been studyingthe topic of rivers as part of their Geography syllabus. Surrounded by beautiful scenery theyinvestigated, first hand, river processes; looking at the links between rivers and landforms and how waterfalls and meanders are formed.
Pupil, Emily Depsey said, “It was a very interesting day. I enjoyed seeing all the amazing views. It was a shame the weather was so drizzly!”
Mr Cooper explained,”What
better way to revise their
geography topic on rivers. Not
only could pupils see the river
processesin action, they
could smell, touch, hear and
feel the whole experience;
learning in 4D!”
