WORLD BOOK DAY was, as always, a fabulous day!

Children in the Preparatory school were invited to dress as their favourite book characters, and everyone made a wonderful effort in dressing to impress! We had ‘neat and proper’ girls from Malory Towers, scary spies from the Alex Rider series and beautiful princesses from a number of different book sources, not forgetting the many wonderful wizards that made Dean Close Prep School feel as if we had stepped into Hogwarts for the day !

The staff also made a wonderful effort, dressing as some of the 101 Dalmatian puppies, petrified by our very own Cruella De Vil, Mr. Harris – whose high heels and hairy legs was a sight to behold.

Our gappers and matrons also had lots of fun dressing as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, bringing laughter wherever they went.

There were events throughout the day, including older and younger pupils joining together to read to each other. Even Forest School became an opportunity for pupils to read their favourite book in the tranquility of nature.

Big thanks to Mr. Shelley, Head of English for organizing such a fun day! And to everyone at DCPS, for a very successful and exciting World Book Day. Not forgetting a big thank you to all of the Parents for their effort on the many wonderful costumes!
