Travel restrictions didn’t stop Year One visiting Australia as part of the ‘Around The World’ topic. Everyone enjoyed making an Australia fact file, which contained information about famous landmarks and physical features in this land on the other side of the world. Then it was time for some Aboriginal dot art. We found out the history behind this style of painting and how the early inhabitants of Australia used it to tell stories and record myths. Later we enjoyed producing our own lizards, snakes and turtles to the background of music played on a didgeridoo.
