Year One pupils took their science skills to Hatherley Park to find out more about forces. This term in the classroom the children will be exploring push and pull forces and investigating how these forces make objects move and change direction. It was great to see how this learning can be applied in practical, everyday situations outside school. The children enjoyed playing on the equipment and discussing how they made things move, answering questions such as ‘Which forces would you be using when you climb a ladder or use a swing?’

As well as the science aspect of the visit, it was fantastic to have Mrs Nasralla with us and play games using French vocabulary. Everyone enjoyed their visit in the late summer sunshine and found out a lot more about forces.
