Gasps of wonder, shrieks of excitement and a range of zealous answers to the tour guides’ (Mr Cowling and Mrs Trant) challenging questions could be heard as the Safari (Bennett’s) bus crawled through the African plains of West Midland Safari Park. A fantastic, sunny and highly educational day was had by all as the Year Two cohort enriched their learning through this thrilling experience. The afternoon included visits to see hungry hippos feeding, mischievous meerkats watching, extinct dinosaurs moving, dangerous dart frogs resting, sizeable snakes slithering, blind fruit bats dangling, lazy lemurs looking, lovely lorikeets singing and super sea-lions performing stunts.
